Up this weekend: No specific plans.  I do have a little housework to catch up on. I need to get a jump on getting the house in order for Thanksgiving. We're hoping to have a full table again this year.

I want to check out some of the holiday magazines to see whether there are any intriguing and new cookie recipes.

And I'm still processing vacation photos. I finished day 3 and am starting on Day 4. Maybe if I get bored (HA!) I can process a few more!

WIP-it Wednesday...

...and I still haven't gotten a handle on my regular posting schedule. I think my brain is still on vacation!

My main WIP right now is processing my vacation pictures. There were no photos on day 1, as that was travel day. Day 2 is processed and up on Flickr. I am about one third of the way through Day 3. At least I have looked at all of the photos and identified the ones to process!

Work kicked my @$$ last week and I felt tired all weekend. At least I was able to enjoy Spin-In! I made some gingerbread cookies to take and finished spinning the llama singles.

On Sunday, I spun some rolags that I bought at Taos Wool Festival. Photos to come...

I only have one month until I switch to baking, so I better get cracking!

Up this weekend:  Since I;ve only processed photos from Day 1 of vacation, I need to work on these some more.

Pacific International Quilt Festival is this weekend. For the first time, I'm thinking of skipping it. My focus right now is weaving. Plus I really don't need to take any more photos at the moment!

I think I'm just going to hunker down at home. I will help The Husband hang our new rug and take photos of that. Since it's part of our vacation experience, I really need to document it.

And hope it continues to rain...

Yes, I am still here!

...we went on vacation for two weeks and I was enjoying myself too much to blog. Oops.

The Husband and I took a trip to New Mexico to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and 35thyear together. I've been calling it our second honeymoon. New Mexico one of my soul places and one of our favorite places to visit. It had been too long since we had been there. (The last time we were there we used film cameras--that's how long it had been!)

I took over 3,000 photos and have been slowly processing them. The Husband joked that I've made it all the way to 11am on the first day of vacation! Granted, we did a lot of site-seeing and certain days were crammed full of photos, Day 1 being one of them.

At any rate, I am adding our photos to this Flickr album. Here's a little sample of what's been processed so far.

Dragon in the Children's Fantasy Garden (Albuquerque BioPark Botanical Garden):

and orange abutilon flowers (Albuquerque BioPark Botanical Garden):

Our anniversary was in January, but the Husband agreed to delay our trip until October so I could attend the Taos Wool Festival. I know...what a guy! I really enjoyed seeing vendors who don't attend Stitches West. There were many from Colorado and Texas. I bought some lovely fiber. I haven't processed those photos yet either. :-)

I returned to work yesterday and am trying to get out of vacation mode. Trying is the operative word!

I'll post a September recap soon. Honest. LOL!

Another Finished Object...

...yay! I finished the first yarn on my new Lendrum DT. I tried a 2-ply and it turned out OK. Using the plying head was not as smooth...
