 ...and I'm still bouncing from project to project. I was so inspired by the Frida Kahlo piece that I started thinking about a Mexican-centric sampler that I started designing years ago. It's based around Cinco de Mayo. As I looked at it, I realized that I really wanted it to be more than Cinco. As I started researching Mexican items to included, Frida kept coming into the foreground. I gave in and started researching Frida's style. The result is a Christmas ornament in the style of Frida and uses some ideas from the Southwest Angel ornaments from the defunct Southwest Crafts magazine (Nov/Dec1990).  I made a bunch of the Angel ornaments and liked stitching them.
