Is this cute or what?! Eye Candy Friday AND a finished project!

I liked doing this pattern...it was a little challenging to put it all together and embroidering on knitting was not fun. However, I really like how it turned out! Hopefully, the baby who receives it will love it as much as I do!

Next up: Crossover Top from the Debbie Bliss book "Essential Baby." I cast on last night and managed to get a couple of rows done before bedtime.

I realize that the blog has been quiet for the last few days...I'm really busy with a couple of work projects and once I get home, all I wanted to do was finish the bunny or work on the secret birthday present (almost there!). There have also been lots of phone calls with family members about the various goings on...trust me, it's very draining.

Up this weekend: our company Christmas party (yes, we have our Christmas party in March or April...when we have a summer picnic, it's in October. It works for us!), taxes (ick), and whatever else I can squeeze in.

The bunny calls to be hugged! Very loveable! Maybe take a peek over at the etsy shop, CapistranoFiberArts - lotsa purple fibery goodness to get your mind off family phone calls :) Terry

And, Terry, thanks for the pointer! Hmmm, I'd already consoled myself with roving from the Yarn Wench. But all that purple is calling my name!

Eye Candy Friday...

...and another week races by! We have a few blooming things in the garden. This Icelandic Poppy is on the ledge outside the kitchen window: We have some bright yellow calendulas filling a container in the back yard: and these unusual pink flowers are in another contains. Don't ask me what they are...I have no idea: Up this weekend: We're taking a shopping trip to one of my favorite stores, The Container Store . I have placed an online order for some of the items I'll need for my December baking spree. I planned to go by myself to pick it up, but The Husband wants to look for small jars to repackage the olives he's brineing. We don't shop together, so this is a nice outing for the two of us. Don't tell The Husband, but we will also be going to Williams-Sonoma, which is in the same shopping center. I need to buy the dry brine and the gravy base for Thanksgiving. It's my 5th Blogiversary...let's have a contest!

Yeah, who knew I'd still be doing this five years later? There have been a few changes since my first post . I'm no longer just a stitcher and quilter. I've added knitter, spinner, and weaver to the list. I also dabble in macro photography I changed the name of the blog to be more "me." I changed the layout. I have more than one reader. (Don't burst my bubble, please. LOL!) I've settled into a MWF schedule of posting, except when life and work get in the way. I still find the blog a useful journal of the projects I have in process and my mindset at the time I'm working on them. A little personal stuff gets thrown in from time to time. So, for now, blogging is still working for me. If you've been reading all along...thanks for joining me on this little journey! I plan on continuing as long as it is still useful for me.
