running-out-of-Eye-Candy Friday...

...either I've already taken lots of pictures of it (I know you all get tired of looking a apricot and sky pictures) or my projects aren't far enough along to look significantly different from the last pictures I showed you.

So today, you get the cats, because every one loves kitties, right?

She needs to retract those claws, though...they ruin the mood of the picture!

Up this weekend: Finish weaving the second item on the loom. I'm almost there! I want to finish spinning the Lisa Sousa batts so I can get the wheel ready for a spin-in on the 20th. Throw some errands and knitting in there, and I have a pretty full weekend!

I NEVER tire of looking at the pics of your flowers, vegi's and fruits....they are so "nature" and of course I am in awe of how you fit all of that into your yard!! But also agree, kitty pics are delightful.....enjoy your weekend, be sure to "kindly" remind Sirena how much she's loved!!! Sing her the "make new friends" song! Weekend here, may try to get to the Territorial Art's & Craft show...it's awesome! Tonight we are doing the "Relay for Life" Cancer walk....our day/evening to reflect on the ones we've lost and how grateful we are to be there walking!!!! Right now...sewing curtains for the baby's room!! Talk to ya soon!!!

It's my 5th Blogiversary...let's have a contest!

Yeah, who knew I'd still be doing this five years later? There have been a few changes since my first post . I'm no longer just a stitcher and quilter. I've added knitter, spinner, and weaver to the list. I also dabble in macro photography I changed the name of the blog to be more "me." I changed the layout. I have more than one reader. (Don't burst my bubble, please. LOL!) I've settled into a MWF schedule of posting, except when life and work get in the way. I still find the blog a useful journal of the projects I have in process and my mindset at the time I'm working on them. A little personal stuff gets thrown in from time to time. So, for now, blogging is still working for me. If you've been reading all along...thanks for joining me on this little journey! I plan on continuing as long as it is still useful for me. Finishes on Tuesday...

...one that I can show you now.  This is the Belvedere Bird of Paradise handspun [ Ravelry ] that I finished on Sunday: and the close up: Specs: Started 3/23/14; Finished 4/6/14; Polworth-Silk top (4 oz) from Royale Hare; 247.5 yds. chain-ply, 14 WPI The other is a gift that I'll post when it gets to the recipient, hopefully this week. Spin-In was great as usual. I started one of my Greenwood Fiberworks Camel-silk tops. I love the way the camel-silk feels! I've spun a little over half of the 4 oz. bump. I'll probably finish that this weekend. Tomorrow, I'll get my new prescription for my glasses. It will take several days for the new lenses to be made, so I hope that I'll have my new glasses next week sometime. .
