Sky Candy Friday, one week befroe Christmas...

...because I have nothing else at the moment!

I haven't had time to take any more cookie pictures, but I hope to catch up with those over the next few days.

I made two double batches of biscotti last night so I could include them in my office gift bags. I delivered 6 of those this morning. I still owe one person a dozen Chile-Chocolate Truffles, but I haven't had enough time to make them yet. They will be her "Happy New Year!" present.

This is my last day of work for the year (yay!) and I have a bunch of things to do. I have a project to finalize and send out.  Backups to make. Timecards...clean out my drawer in the fridge so nothing goes bad while I'm gone...things like that.

Up this weekend: biscotti, truffles, get somebody's box ready for shipping, decorate the tree, and keep my fingers crossed that e-Santa delivers on time. I only have a few packages to wrap, mostly for the Daughter. (The Husband and I decided we didn't need give each other much after the appliances and the car!)

I plan on posting to the blog up until Christmas, but we'll see how that goes!

Eye Candy Friday...

...and another week races by! We have a few blooming things in the garden. This Icelandic Poppy is on the ledge outside the kitchen window: We have some bright yellow calendulas filling a container in the back yard: and these unusual pink flowers are in another contains. Don't ask me what they are...I have no idea: Up this weekend: We're taking a shopping trip to one of my favorite stores, The Container Store . I have placed an online order for some of the items I'll need for my December baking spree. I planned to go by myself to pick it up, but The Husband wants to look for small jars to repackage the olives he's brineing. We don't shop together, so this is a nice outing for the two of us. Don't tell The Husband, but we will also be going to Williams-Sonoma, which is in the same shopping center. I need to buy the dry brine and the gravy base for Thanksgiving. It's my 5th Blogiversary...let's have a contest!

Yeah, who knew I'd still be doing this five years later? There have been a few changes since my first post . I'm no longer just a stitcher and quilter. I've added knitter, spinner, and weaver to the list. I also dabble in macro photography I changed the name of the blog to be more "me." I changed the layout. I have more than one reader. (Don't burst my bubble, please. LOL!) I've settled into a MWF schedule of posting, except when life and work get in the way. I still find the blog a useful journal of the projects I have in process and my mindset at the time I'm working on them. A little personal stuff gets thrown in from time to time. So, for now, blogging is still working for me. If you've been reading all along...thanks for joining me on this little journey! I plan on continuing as long as it is still useful for me.
