raindrops, so many raindrops...

...falling from the sky, aye! I'm tired of being cold and wet. My space heater is working its little heart out. I'm wearing so many layers, I feel like Danny Kaye in "White Christmas"...although I wouldn't mid the electric blanket right now.

There was a break in the rain this morning and I managed to get some pictures before it started again.

Up this weekend: Oh, I don't know...sleep, maybe? A little housework? A little crafting...

I do need to raid my fabric stash and see what I can do about my second commissioned project. I'm making a wall hanging for Jane and we finally had a chance to chat about the specs. I think I might have almost everything I need, but I want to double-check.

Truly, all I really want to do this weekend, is stay warm...

OH YES....you DO need to RAID YOUR STASH!! HAHA....I am really torn between "Ma-Gma's Den" and "Grammy's Den"....but alas the decision is with the "maker"...makes it more fun that way! I can't WAIT to see it!! Hope it's not too big an ordeal! I DO KNOW I SHALL LOVE IT!!

My 7th Blogiversary...

...technically it was Saturday, but I don't often post on the weekends.  I'm usually too busy running errands and trying to get in some quality crafting time. Before I dive into the weekend report, here's a late entry in the Christmas cookie display. I had to wait until these cookies arrived at their final destination before I could show them. Yes, they are for the same couple for whom I made the marzipan bees! I need a little practice decorating the bees, but I think they turned out OK. Moving on... I was essentially housebound on Saturday while I waited for a delivery (which never came!). I took advantage of the time deconstruct Christmas. I packed 95% of the Christmas decorations and put them back into the storage closet. The remaining 5% are the chile pepper lights and garland that hang from the loft railing. After going up and down the stairs multiple times to get the boxes for the decorations and then put them away, I just couldn't face going up the stair...

It's my 5th Blogiversary...let's have a contest!

Yeah, who knew I'd still be doing this five years later? There have been a few changes since my first post . I'm no longer just a stitcher and quilter. I've added knitter, spinner, and weaver to the list. I also dabble in macro photography I changed the name of the blog to be more "me." I changed the layout. I have more than one reader. (Don't burst my bubble, please. LOL!) I've settled into a MWF schedule of posting, except when life and work get in the way. I still find the blog a useful journal of the projects I have in process and my mindset at the time I'm working on them. A little personal stuff gets thrown in from time to time. So, for now, blogging is still working for me. If you've been reading all along...thanks for joining me on this little journey! I plan on continuing as long as it is still useful for me.
