Eye Candy Friday...
...and catching up with the last week. (I know...)
The house got clean (mostly) before our guests arrived on Saturday. Yay!
On Sunday, we boarded the sailboat that the Husband chartered for his Dad's last journey. He loved to sail on the San Francisco Bay, so that's where we took him. The weather was perfect, but there was very little wind so we couldn't sail for very long. We didn't actually scatter his ashes. Instead, we had a biodegradable urn/box that we placed in the ocean. My sister-in-law fixed her dad's favorite martini and poured it into the ocean after we deployed the urn.
We all went to lunch afterwards and then went our separate ways. Our company flew home on Monday.
It was my birthday on Wednesday, which is a terrible day for a birthday - you can't really do anything if you have to work the next day. I did get spoiled by the Daughter - she sent me some gorgeous calla lilies.
And my sister and her husband sent me a beautiful lily and daisy bouquet:
The Husband bought several flowering plants for the garden that he thought I'd like to photograph. This blue butterfly bush is very pretty:
and this Lily Turf is cool:
I love Sea Lavender, so he bought one for our courtyard:
Up this weekend: We are going to the ocean to celebrate my birthday - I feel the need for sea breezes and ocean waves. On Sunday, the Daughter is taking me to lunch. In between, there are crafts to do!
