Top-of-the-Waves Tuesday...
...and the weekend report.
After work on Friday, I picked up the Star Trek Hallmark ornament that I had ordered in July. I'm now the proud owner of the 40th anniversary enterprise ornament!
The Hallmark store happens to be in the same shopping center as my vet. Sombra's ashes were ready for pick-up so I did that next.
Sombra and Tica are now side-by-side on the bookcase. I miss their fuzzy little faces. :(
After a late lunch, I baked some Mexican Wedding Cookies. They were my contribution to cousin's birthday party on Saturday.
Saturday was a hot day in Hollister. My mom and my aunt drove up from Santa Maria to be there for the party. Several of our Los Angeles relatives also made the trip. The food was wonderful and we all had a good time!
Sunday was errands and some crafting. I spent most of the time spinning because I just couldn't face weaving. I also spent a little time fixing an error in the Malachite needlepoint project. I was off by one column, which needed to be fixed so the other stitching would work. It's all fixed now and I'm back on track.
In the evening, I spent some time researching simple knitted hat patterns. I misplaced my default hat pattern and could not remember how to do the decreases. I tried a couple of patterns, but they just didn't look right. I finally found one that I liked and finished Cozy Red Hat 2 [Ravelry] on Sunday night. I immediately cast on for another hat so i would have something to work on during Craft Coffee on Monday.
Some progress and a finish...yay!
