I've been unable to concentrate on one project since I finished the Tiny Garden needle roll. Yesterday, I bounced from project to project and made a little progress in several projects. As result, there wasn't enough progress in any one project to make it worthwhile to take a photo.

I hope today is better!

WIPs Roll Call
Worked On:
  1. By the Sea needle roll (cross stitch)
    I had started this project a week ago and realized that I was off by a thread (it's 2-over-2 stitching). I pulled out the two motifs to restart this project
  2. Day of the Dead quilt (quilting)
    Rethinking the borders on these squares. Tried a couple of ideas that weren't worth implementing.
  3. Marionberry Shawl [Ravelry]
    Working on the eyelet rows section
  4. Milky Way [Ravelry]
    Restarted the weaving. Wove about 3 inches. I like this weft yarn better than the original.
  5. Peacock Majesty by Just Nan (cross stitch)
    Finished a row that had been in progress for a while. I'm seriously considering adding one more row and calling it a day. I was so in love with this sampler when I started it. I'm not as enamored with it now.
  6. Rainbow Sherbet handspun [Ravelry]
    Finished spinning the singles
  7. Renaissance Mermaid (cross stitch)
    Still working on the tail. It's taking a while because there is a lot of Kreinik braid in this section and it doesn't stitch as smoothly as floss.

It's my 5th Blogiversary...let's have a contest!

Yeah, who knew I'd still be doing this five years later? There have been a few changes since my first post . I'm no longer just a stitcher and quilter. I've added knitter, spinner, and weaver to the list. I also dabble in macro photography I changed the name of the blog to be more "me." I changed the layout. I have more than one reader. (Don't burst my bubble, please. LOL!) I've settled into a MWF schedule of posting, except when life and work get in the way. I still find the blog a useful journal of the projects I have in process and my mindset at the time I'm working on them. A little personal stuff gets thrown in from time to time. So, for now, blogging is still working for me. If you've been reading all along...thanks for joining me on this little journey! I plan on continuing as long as it is still useful for me. Eye Candy Friday...

...is it time to go home yet? We have hollyhocks growing in the garden: and Mega Monkey flowers: It rained a bit yesterday and this morning so everything is covered with a light layer of raindrops. These tomato flowers looked very cool with all the little drops: And the Lucky Lantern abutilon had a few drops: Our berry harvest is out of control: While I love the berry galettes that the Husband has been baking, I'm afraid my waistline can't handle too many more! Up this weekend: Some household chores and then crafting. I'll continue rotating through the crafts, keeping needlepoint and knitting as the TV crafts and working on the others during the day. I also want to choose the block size for my attic windows quilt so I can start cutting out the feature squares. I'd like to see some progress on this quilt soon! .
