Here's a look at the Renaissance Mermaid that I started in May.
Mirabilia mermaids always take me a long time to stitch, mostly because I work on other projects at the same time. I'd hoped to be closer to "done" by the end of the year, but that's not going to happen!
One of the reasons this mermaid is taking so long is that I'm not happy with one of the overdyed silk fibers used in the project. It's resulting in some unattractive striping in large areas of the tail. I'm continuing to work on the rest of the mermaid, but might decide to pull it out if I still don't like the way it looks with the rest of the stitching.
