 ....I got so involved in what I was spinning that I forgot to post here. Oops!

Tour de Fleece, 7/1:
I started the tour with an art yarn. This is Seaglass [Ravelry]:

Started and finished 7/1/2022
Falkland (4.6 oz) from The Yarn Wench
45.8 yds, 3-ply; 6 WPI
Plied with Alessia in color 7 from Lana Grossa and Fantastico Thread in color 05096 from Superior Threads

When I finished that, I started spinning Seaglass [Ravelry], a set of merino-yak-silk batts from Greenwood Fiberworks.

I continued spinning the singles for Seaglass [Ravelry]: I've spun about 50% of the batts.

It's my 5th Blogiversary...let's have a contest!

Yeah, who knew I'd still be doing this five years later? There have been a few changes since my first post . I'm no longer just a stitcher and quilter. I've added knitter, spinner, and weaver to the list. I also dabble in macro photography I changed the name of the blog to be more "me." I changed the layout. I have more than one reader. (Don't burst my bubble, please. LOL!) I've settled into a MWF schedule of posting, except when life and work get in the way. I still find the blog a useful journal of the projects I have in process and my mindset at the time I'm working on them. A little personal stuff gets thrown in from time to time. So, for now, blogging is still working for me. If you've been reading all along...thanks for joining me on this little journey! I plan on continuing as long as it is still useful for me. Finishes on Tuesday...

...one that I can show you now.  This is the Belvedere Bird of Paradise handspun [ Ravelry ] that I finished on Sunday: and the close up: Specs: Started 3/23/14; Finished 4/6/14; Polworth-Silk top (4 oz) from Royale Hare; 247.5 yds. chain-ply, 14 WPI The other is a gift that I'll post when it gets to the recipient, hopefully this week. Spin-In was great as usual. I started one of my Greenwood Fiberworks Camel-silk tops. I love the way the camel-silk feels! I've spun a little over half of the 4 oz. bump. I'll probably finish that this weekend. Tomorrow, I'll get my new prescription for my glasses. It will take several days for the new lenses to be made, so I hope that I'll have my new glasses next week sometime. .
