 ...who knew that I'd still be doing this 20 years later?

I joined Blogger in 2006 as a trial:

First Blog entry

In the beginning, I blogged about 10 times a month. As I got the hang of it, I blogged more frequently, usually 3 or 4 times a week. I did a name change after one year to more closely reflect my love of crafting with needles and fiber.

I started doing month-end and year-end recaps that first year, but recap posts didn't evolve into their current format until the following year.  Books started appearing in the September 2010 recap, the month I got my first iPad and started reading digital books.

I started posting for Eye Candy Friday in August of 2006. WIP-it Wednesdays started in 2008.

Life interfered a lot the last 6 years and my blogging has become sporadic. I still try to post on WIP-it Wednesdays and when I complete a project. My posts for Eye Candy Friday are not as consistent anymore.

So, 2,789 posts (counting this one) later, here we are: still Livin' La Needle Loca!

...Happy Blogiversary to me!! It's been 3 years since I started this blog. In that time I've gone from being mostly a cross-stitcher and quilter to being a knitter and spinner. I still cross stitch and quilt, but I spend far more of my craft time knitting and spinning. In honor of the blog turning 3, I'm having a contest! It's my 5th Blogiversary...let's have a contest!

Yeah, who knew I'd still be doing this five years later? There have been a few changes since my first post . I'm no longer just a stitcher and quilter. I've added knitter, spinner, and weaver to the list. I also dabble in macro photography I changed the name of the blog to be more "me." I changed the layout. I have more than one reader. (Don't burst my bubble, please. LOL!) I've settled into a MWF schedule of posting, except when life and work get in the way. I still find the blog a useful journal of the projects I have in process and my mindset at the time I'm working on them. A little personal stuff gets thrown in from time to time. So, for now, blogging is still working for me. If you've been reading all along...thanks for joining me on this little journey! I plan on continuing as long as it is still useful for me. Eye Candy Friday...

...is it time to go home yet? We have hollyhocks growing in the garden: and Mega Monkey flowers: It rained a bit yesterday and this morning so everything is covered with a light layer of raindrops. These tomato flowers looked very cool with all the little drops: And the Lucky Lantern abutilon had a few drops: Our berry harvest is out of control: While I love the berry galettes that the Husband has been baking, I'm afraid my waistline can't handle too many more! Up this weekend: Some household chores and then crafting. I'll continue rotating through the crafts, keeping needlepoint and knitting as the TV crafts and working on the others during the day. I also want to choose the block size for my attic windows quilt so I can start cutting out the feature squares. I'd like to see some progress on this quilt soon! .
