Continued to spin the singles for Tippy.

I was getting close to the end of putting things away in the IKEA cabinets when the coffee bar and mini-fridge arrived 2 days early. I had to stop and move things to make way for the huge boxes.

We assembled the coffee bar and moved it into place. We need to rotate the worktable 90 degrees because the coffee bar sticks out further than I anticipated. I need more shelf liner and some more in-drawer organizers for this new piece. I ordered the organizers on-line and will get the shelf liner locally.

The Husband continues to be a star in re-homing the furniture that we no longer need. One person came and took a 2-drawer filing cabinet, the remaining 4 storage cubes, and two nylon web baskets. Yay!

Tippy Handspun singles

I ran to the local hardware store and bought more shelf liner. I lined the shelves and drawers of the coffee bar and put away the cups, silverware, and tea. This cabinet has more storage than I need for tea and coffee supplies. I think I'll store some little used supplies in there (like picture hangers, extra push pins, and buttons. I can still get to them easily, but it will free up some room in for other things, like my DMC floss chest, which currently has no place to go.

It's my 5th Blogiversary...let's have a contest!

Yeah, who knew I'd still be doing this five years later? There have been a few changes since my first post . I'm no longer just a stitcher and quilter. I've added knitter, spinner, and weaver to the list. I also dabble in macro photography I changed the name of the blog to be more "me." I changed the layout. I have more than one reader. (Don't burst my bubble, please. LOL!) I've settled into a MWF schedule of posting, except when life and work get in the way. I still find the blog a useful journal of the projects I have in process and my mindset at the time I'm working on them. A little personal stuff gets thrown in from time to time. So, for now, blogging is still working for me. If you've been reading all along...thanks for joining me on this little journey! I plan on continuing as long as it is still useful for me. Eye Candy Friday...

...is it time to go home yet? We have hollyhocks growing in the garden: and Mega Monkey flowers: It rained a bit yesterday and this morning so everything is covered with a light layer of raindrops. These tomato flowers looked very cool with all the little drops: And the Lucky Lantern abutilon had a few drops: Our berry harvest is out of control: While I love the berry galettes that the Husband has been baking, I'm afraid my waistline can't handle too many more! Up this weekend: Some household chores and then crafting. I'll continue rotating through the crafts, keeping needlepoint and knitting as the TV crafts and working on the others during the day. I also want to choose the block size for my attic windows quilt so I can start cutting out the feature squares. I'd like to see some progress on this quilt soon! .
