WIP-it Wednesday...
...and the days have just zipped by this week.
I continue to do a little of this and a little of that. I finished the singles for Silver Chalice handspun [Ravelry] and started chain-plying.
The latest hat for charity (Cozy Red Hat 2 [Ravelry]) has lost a little traction, but I'm past the cuff portion:
I also started a small cross stitch project that's been long on my lit. This is the beginning of As Bethlehem Slept, Shepherd's Bush ornament from the 2005 Just Cross Stitch Ornament issue:
The project that is frustrating me right now is my weaving project, Shimmering Points Wrap [Ravelry]. I love the way the pattern looks, but warp threads keep breaking. This is the first time I've worked with Tencel, so I wasn't sure what to expect.
I now have 4 broken warp threads in different locations and they are different colors. The first one snapped and the rest of them shredded. I’m releasing the tension when I’m done working on the piece for the day, so it’s not that. I’m about 30 inches into this piece and I want at least 60. If too many more warp threads break, I might have to make the piece shorter. It's on a time-out right now.
