Still running behind...

 ...sigh. The many trips to mom's are wearing me down and they are playing havoc with my usual routine.

During this last trip, I didn't get a chance to work on any crafts. I had no down time at all. Plus I wasn't sleeping well. I was exhausted when I got home on Saturday.

When I got home, my order from a stitchery store had arrived while I was gone. It contained the buttons I needed to finish my latest Shepherd's Bush ornament. This is Up On The House Top:

After adding the buttons and taking the photo, I couldn't decide which project to work on. I just couldn't get into any of them, So, true to form, I started something new. LOL! I pulled out the Petite Pocket Pets [Ravelry] pattern by Fuzzy Mitten pattern that I bought right before I left for mom's. I grabbed a ball of leftover variegated yarn and started knitting the cat version. I love doing these little pets!

Eye Candy Friday...

...and another week races by! We have a few blooming things in the garden. This Icelandic Poppy is on the ledge outside the kitchen window: We have some bright yellow calendulas filling a container in the back yard: and these unusual pink flowers are in another contains. Don't ask me what they are...I have no idea: Up this weekend: We're taking a shopping trip to one of my favorite stores, The Container Store . I have placed an online order for some of the items I'll need for my December baking spree. I planned to go by myself to pick it up, but The Husband wants to look for small jars to repackage the olives he's brineing. We don't shop together, so this is a nice outing for the two of us. Don't tell The Husband, but we will also be going to Williams-Sonoma, which is in the same shopping center. I need to buy the dry brine and the gravy base for Thanksgiving. It's my 5th Blogiversary...let's have a contest!

Yeah, who knew I'd still be doing this five years later? There have been a few changes since my first post . I'm no longer just a stitcher and quilter. I've added knitter, spinner, and weaver to the list. I also dabble in macro photography I changed the name of the blog to be more "me." I changed the layout. I have more than one reader. (Don't burst my bubble, please. LOL!) I've settled into a MWF schedule of posting, except when life and work get in the way. I still find the blog a useful journal of the projects I have in process and my mindset at the time I'm working on them. A little personal stuff gets thrown in from time to time. So, for now, blogging is still working for me. If you've been reading all along...thanks for joining me on this little journey! I plan on continuing as long as it is still useful for me.
