One of the things I've been working on is the quilt I was calling "Color Chaos." Well, I changed its name (again). It's now "Road to Chaos." for many reasons. "Road" comes from the pattern name "Yellow Brick Road" and "Chaos" mostly for the chaotic color combination. 

I've been trying to layout the blocks as a Yellow Brick Road quilt, but I haven't been happy with any of them. The photo below shows one of the layouts (with Cassia as an added bonus).

The main problem is that some of the fabrics are so vibrant and others are subdued that the contrast is too much - dare I say, chaotic? LOL! Anyway, I've decided that I'm going to add a navy border to the blocks to tone things down. I'm in the process of doing that.

It's my 5th Blogiversary...let's have a contest!

Yeah, who knew I'd still be doing this five years later? There have been a few changes since my first post . I'm no longer just a stitcher and quilter. I've added knitter, spinner, and weaver to the list. I also dabble in macro photography I changed the name of the blog to be more "me." I changed the layout. I have more than one reader. (Don't burst my bubble, please. LOL!) I've settled into a MWF schedule of posting, except when life and work get in the way. I still find the blog a useful journal of the projects I have in process and my mindset at the time I'm working on them. A little personal stuff gets thrown in from time to time. So, for now, blogging is still working for me. If you've been reading all along...thanks for joining me on this little journey! I plan on continuing as long as it is still useful for me. Finishes on Tuesday...

...one that I can show you now.  This is the Belvedere Bird of Paradise handspun [ Ravelry ] that I finished on Sunday: and the close up: Specs: Started 3/23/14; Finished 4/6/14; Polworth-Silk top (4 oz) from Royale Hare; 247.5 yds. chain-ply, 14 WPI The other is a gift that I'll post when it gets to the recipient, hopefully this week. Spin-In was great as usual. I started one of my Greenwood Fiberworks Camel-silk tops. I love the way the camel-silk feels! I've spun a little over half of the 4 oz. bump. I'll probably finish that this weekend. Tomorrow, I'll get my new prescription for my glasses. It will take several days for the new lenses to be made, so I hope that I'll have my new glasses next week sometime. .
