no-WIP and no-Pic Wednesday...

...cuz I have nothing I can show you.

I can't show you the pattern that's almost finished or the birthday present I'm making. I've done nothing more on any of my projects.

About the only new thing around here is the book I received from Amazon this morning: Last-Minute Patchwork & Quilted Gifts by Joelle Hoverson. I haven't had time to look at it yet, but if it's anything like her other book "Last-Minute Knitted Gifts," I know I'll find at least a couple of things that will beg to be made.

The time change has affected my sleep habits, so not only so I want to sleep in, but I'm also falling asleep early! I hope that things get back to normal soon...it's playing havoc on what I can accomplish in a day!

[Yawn] Back to work...

gee, you really should be sharing the "birthday" present one, I'm sure everyone would just LOVE to know what it is!!!

It's my 5th Blogiversary...let's have a contest!

Yeah, who knew I'd still be doing this five years later? There have been a few changes since my first post . I'm no longer just a stitcher and quilter. I've added knitter, spinner, and weaver to the list. I also dabble in macro photography I changed the name of the blog to be more "me." I changed the layout. I have more than one reader. (Don't burst my bubble, please. LOL!) I've settled into a MWF schedule of posting, except when life and work get in the way. I still find the blog a useful journal of the projects I have in process and my mindset at the time I'm working on them. A little personal stuff gets thrown in from time to time. So, for now, blogging is still working for me. If you've been reading all along...thanks for joining me on this little journey! I plan on continuing as long as it is still useful for me. Eye Candy Friday...

...and another week races by! We have a few blooming things in the garden. This Icelandic Poppy is on the ledge outside the kitchen window: We have some bright yellow calendulas filling a container in the back yard: and these unusual pink flowers are in another contains. Don't ask me what they are...I have no idea: Up this weekend: We're taking a shopping trip to one of my favorite stores, The Container Store . I have placed an online order for some of the items I'll need for my December baking spree. I planned to go by myself to pick it up, but The Husband wants to look for small jars to repackage the olives he's brineing. We don't shop together, so this is a nice outing for the two of us. Don't tell The Husband, but we will also be going to Williams-Sonoma, which is in the same shopping center. I need to buy the dry brine and the gravy base for Thanksgiving.
